Our Managing Director

Retired General and Mental Health Nurse

The managing director and registered provider, Norma Stride is a retired general and mental health nurse with over thirty years experience in nurse education and the National Health Service in the UK. Her knowledge base and experiences are extensive.

She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Education and has designed, delivered and evaluated numerous courses for the Health and Social Care Sector, and carried out research in issues relation to disability and nutrition in the elderly. Her PhD Programme of Development at Surrey University was prematurely concluded when she decided set up Amron Premier Care LLP, which provides a total care experience for the elderly with diverse residential needs.  

As a University lecturer, she has been involved in the strategic development and accreditation of core curricular that underpin both general and mental health nurse training, served as a visiting lecture for the University of Westminster Postgraduate Certificate in Managing Health and Social Care, served as an Academic Quality Committee Member and External Examiner on both their BA (Hon) Degree in Health and Social Care Management and the Foundation Degree in Care Management, at the University of Luton. The latter programme reflected the complex role of the modern registered care home manager.

Norma is a member of Care Forum Wales, a body that represents care homes and independent care sector organisations across Wales. The forum gives them a platform on which to address issues on social policy affecting the industry. 
Regular attendance of industry conference and journals and reports ensures that her knowledge base is current.
